Counseling Center: Programs
Alcohol and Substance Abuse
We offer individual, group and intensive out patient counseling for adults with alcohol and/or substance abuse disorders.
Court Ordered Assessments and Evaluations
LAFC does court ordered alcohol and substance assessments as well as most other court required assessments.
DWI School
LAFC is the only licensed DWI school in Los Alamos County.
Individual, Group and Family Counseling
Counseling is available for adults, adolescents and children whether or not they have insurance.
Domestic Violence
Therapy in the areas of family and domestic violence is available for victims, perpetrators and family members.
Sexual Assault/Trauma/PTSD
Resources from the Department of Health, Santa Fe Rape Crisis Center and the Espanola Crisis Center support our individual and group therapy.
Juvenile Community Corrections and Juvenile Diversion Program
These two programs are for youth in trouble with the law. They are supportive programs for the youth and his/her family.
Preschool Child and Family Therapy
A therapist trained in working with young children is available for infant and pre-school support.
24/7 Crisis Line

An independently licensed therapist is on call at all times. An answering service receives calls overnight and on weekends and directs them to our on-call therapist.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Clients who have severe and/or chronic mental illness are provided an opportunity to learn skills to empower themselves while enjoying a supportive social group.
Case Management
LAFC has two case managers, one works with the juvenile corrections program and the other with clients who need support for housing, employment, transportation, etc.
Life Skills
A research based program for teens that focuses on choices and decision making especially in the areas of tobacco, drugs and alcohol.
